Detoxification is a natural cleansing process in nature just like the rain washes the pollution out of the air. So why are we still looking for a way to free ourselves from all that that’s against our nature, when the answer is right in-front of our eyes?
Nowadays we live in a type of society where we tend to fall regularly on the concept that where we are right now socially determines the nature of our public reactions, the type of work we do, what we consume, the way we think about ourselves and the structures of power and social inequality that order our life chances. Our minds and bodies are constantly falling into the habit of having to fight for wellbeing, excellence, success, satisfaction by the ways we’ve been taught of rather than look for emancipation, liberation, inner peace and release.
So how do we achieve that when we are constantly challenged into having negative thinking patterns such as assuming the worst, jumping to conclusions, self-criticism and situations like having to deal with health problems. This negative inner voice can have serious health consequences on our bodies, and these consequences reflect right back into having to fight for our emotional state (our happiness).
Have you ever felt so nervous, your hands started to shake? Or felt so worried you couldn’t fall asleep at night?
Our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can positively or negatively affect our biological functioning. In other words, our minds can affect how healthy our bodies are! On the other hand, what we do with our physical body, what we eat, how much we exercise, even our posture can impact our mental state (positively or negatively). This results in a complex interrelationship between our minds and bodies.
Fortunately, our body has the ability to cope with most toxins that we inhale, ingest or absorb. However, if we’re constantly being intoxified, skimping on exercise, nutrition, hydration etc, then the body’s own natural detoxification system can be damaged. If you do a simple search for detox, you will receive an overwhelming amount of results; juice detox, sugar detox, fasting detox, meat detox and even digital detox. All of these proven techniques are a way to temporarily heal everything that has been over time bothering us inside but what about what’s already damaged? All of that has been stored from years and years of consuming. Does it ever get to cleanse?
Stress management techniques, mindfulness practices, journaling, breathing techniques they are the most useful ways to bring our emotions into balance, to help us focus on things that are happening in the here-and-now. However, we can learn how to manage our thoughts and come closer every day to our higher self, with practice but what happens when “new” outer factors of society come in our lives, and we tend to put in pause everything that we have learned and appreciate?
Ever since I’ve grown interest on becoming aware of my body and mind’s health over the years I have been practising all the above detox techniques. In my personal experience fasting, meat detox, exercise etc, have healed my body in so many magical ways as has meditation and journaling for my mind, energy and soul. I cannot imagine my everyday life now without practicing and having this feeling of gratitude and inner awareness. Through time and practice as I keep discovering, I have found what feels best for myself and began to realize my own ways of detoxing for both my body and mind together.
And with a simple sign such as this picture that I discovered, I can say that I know how to answer my own questions above:
As I mentioned above detoxification is a natural cleansing process in nature but just like in nature our bodies have 5 elements:
Water 72%
Earth 12%
Air 6%
Fire 4%
And the rest is space meaning our “higher" body.
This body, the earth, the universe and cosmos are all just a play of these 5 elements. How these elements behave within us dominate the power of our whole existence and the purification of the 5 elements gives us the key to the mastery of the body, of the mind and our very creation, and we can cleanse them by a few simple steps.
Let’s take each element at the time:
Before you consume it fill it with gratitude. If you take sufficient care of how you drink your water you will begin to see magnificent changes in your life. Before you take each sip visualize that the water is filled with health or filled with self-love, strength, gratitude for your home, gratitude for your growth, with everything you desire or appreciate and once you consume magic happens within your body and mind, the law of attraction works for you directly as you deal with a life making material. Healthfulness will be a natural consequence.
Staying in touch with Earth. At least every day if you can go for 30 minutes and sit outside in your garden, on the earth you will begin to see that it makes a big difference on your consciousness and healthfulness without having to do anything, just simply sit reading a book, talking to a friend, listening to music or quietly and observe.
Bring breath to a dynamic state.
What kind of air you breathe is definitely important but how you breathe and how consciously is equally important. It’s not only about deepening your breath by exercise, yoga or dance but about the constant exchange of air within and without. It’s always better to do it outside in nature where you sense that the air is pure and alive but what’s important is to cleanse your breath by bringing it into a dynamic state no matter the place.
Sit in a quiet place with your hands open, light a candle and keep your eyes closed for 3 minutes and then stand with your back to it exposing your spine for 3 minutes. This will clean your aura and bring a new sense of resurgence in your system by reconnecting the fire within, with the fire outside as the element gets rekindled. This is the base of all fire rituals in the east.
After sunrise before the sun crosses a 30° ankle, look up to the sky, bring the palms of your hands together and place them in your heart chakra (chest) and bow down to the sky for holding you and this planet in place. After the sun crosses a 30° ankle any time during the day do the same and one last time after the sunset look up and bow down to this etheric space around you.
The nature quality and the power of your life is determined of how much excess you can find. This is an expansive part of the elemental composition, that means that there is no limit. There’s only that much water, that much earth, that much fire but the space dimensions are limitless. Possibly, if you find excess in a limitless manner both your perception and intelligence can grow. If you get the etheric space to cooperate with your life energies, life will happen in magical ways, intelligence that you have never thought possible will become yours, in terms of health, well-being, enlightenment, a mastery over the body’s creation.
By following these simple techniques of cleansing the 5 elements, and my previous practice I have come to understand that everything I have been exploring comes up to this moment of the human being needing that deeper connection with our creation. But that’s for a whole other different article :)
