As kids sometimes we take some things for granted. After all, we were young, and we did not know what life could become.

We never thought about how lucky we were to have people who cared for our growth and well-being so much and poured their heart and soul into our life.

Then slowly as I grew up through some challenging circumstances, I started to become open to healing. A magic book came to my life actually called "The magic" (by Rhonda Byrnes) that my best friend gave to me when I was 16 and my way of thinking and approach in life had changed forever. Ever since I had started to grow a passion about self healing books, and put them into practice, I kept receiving everything that I always desired in life in ways I could never imagine.

One factor that I choose to practice and share, that made an impact to me and still does every day, is GRATITUDE!

Gratitude became the biggest goal in my every day and the things that started happening blew my mind. I had never seen my thoughts and even the most hidden desires that I had, come alive right in front of my eyes and exactly the way I wanted them to happen.
I realized that being literate is not a right but a gift. I started to appreciate everything around me as I realised how lucky I am to live in a country where it's safe and peaceful. I realized there are people out there who do not have their five senses, and to have mine is such a blessing. I began to see the true beauty of the world, the nature, the universe and me.

Sometimes it's easy to fall back into old habits and begin to forget about these blessings because you're going through a rough time in life. However, remember that no matter how bad your situation may seem right now, everything is temporary and there are tens of thousands of things to be grateful for in life.

So I started with a small gratitude challenge for myself that I practice everyday. My gratitude journal. Before going to bed I write a list of 5 things that I'm grateful for. The first rule of writing a gratitude list is there are no rules! Don't worry if you don't know what to write or where to start. Be realistic about how many things you're thankful for and why too. You don't need to write down an exhaustive list—just start with five things.

HERE ARE MY 5 THINGS THAT I AM GRATEFUL FOR TODAY!

12/04/2018

I AM GRATEFUL FOR:

My home — because it's my safe heaven and always welcomes me with an open-heart.
My family and friends — for being the most lovable people in the world and for always supporting me and my decisions.
My lungs — for giving me the opportunity to breathe, live and experience all the treasures of our world.
Books and Movies — for adding wisdom to my everyday, for bringing me light, joy and drive in my life to become better and closer to my higher self.
My freedom of speech — for giving me the outlet to express my thoughts.
The Universe — for conspiring to help me in so many unpredictable ways! Thank you, for all the abundance in my life and on this beautiful earth of mine.
For You — for being who you are and touching the world with your presence.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

(Oops! These are 7. I guess no rules indeed)

If you give "thanks" for five gifts every day, in two months you may not look at your life in the same way as you may do now.

There will always be an excuse for you to keep waiting for the perfect set of circumstances to appear in your life. If you are going to be a dream chaser – start chasing your dreams now! Don’t put off living your dream until tomorrow, we are not guaranteed a tomorrow.

I definitely believe that being grateful is one of the main ideas behind happiness.

So spread your light and see all the beauty you've got around you.

Lots of love,
x Katerina
